Oakley is a young entrepreneur from Christchurch who’s lived through some troubled times in his hometown, but he’s confident he’s now on the right track.

The 21-year-old runs his own business, Cleaner Cars, which he started after dropping out of uni and not knowing what he wanted to do.

Cleaning cars for his neighbour turned into a business which was recently funded from The Trust’s He Kākano seed fund for youth-led businesses.

Oakley had completed the Young Enterprise Scheme YES while at Cashmere High which gave him access to pitch to The Trust’s He Kākano panel.

He says he will use the funds to expand his business - which already has one employee – and upgrade an abandoned warehouse he has leased for Cleaner Cars.
